The Eitnerweg 6–18 housing estate, comprising 42 two- to four-room flats (built in 1967), is situated in the Hummelsbüttel district. The neighbourhood, with a population of around 18,000 in the Wandsbek district, is particularly noted for its natural surroundings, with a large part of the area designated as a nature reserve. The Raakmoor in the Hummelsbüttel Feldmark, the Sievertsche clay pit and Teetzpark attract residents from all over Hamburg to Hummelsbüttel. From the ‘grünes Müllberg’ (a former landfill site), the view stretches as far as the Harburg Hills. In winter, people go tobogganing here. The well-known Uhlenhorster Hockey Club (UHC) has its grounds in Hummelsbüttel. Architecturally, Hummelsbüttel has many different faces. There are many villas along Alte Landstraße, whilst in the north many residents live in social housing at moderate rents. You can go shopping at Hummelsbüttel Market. Hummelsbüttel is not directly connected to the underground and S-Bahn networks. However, thanks to numerous bus routes, it is not far to the nearest station.
