Friedrichshainstraße 3 A-C

The residential complex at Friedrichshainstraße 3 A–C, comprising 18 two- to four-room flats (built in 1961), is situated in the Rahlstedt district. With over 90,000 residents, Rahlstedt – situated in the borough of Wandsbek – is the most populous district of the Hanseatic city. Many Art Nouveau and Wilhelminian-style buildings are listed, and the area around the Alt-Rahlstedter Markt offers a historic atmosphere. The pedestrianised areas in the town centre are ideal for shopping. The Höltigbaum nature reserve (half of which lies in Schleswig-Holstein) attracts nature lovers from across the entire metropolitan region. Following the restoration work carried out in the 1980s, many species of birds, reptiles and insects have returned to the area. Thanks to the regional rail service, it takes just 17 minutes to reach the city centre from Rahlstedt station. The planned S4 line will further improve transport links.
