Von-Moltke-Bogen 9-25

The Von Moltke-Bogen 9–25 housing estate, comprising 68 publicly subsidised two- to four-room flats (built in 1995), is situated in Allermöhe. This neighbourhood in the Bergedorf district, with just under 1,400 residents (spread over 8.7 square kilometres), is one of the least densely populated neighbourhoods in Hamburg. The neighbourhood is best known for the Hamburg-Allermöhe Water Sports Centre. At the state training centre, rowers and canoeists train on a regatta course designed for international competitions. Allermöhe was once an old, prosperous farming village. The thatched, half-timbered houses on the Allermöhe dyke bear witness to this past. However, since 1979, the area around Eichbaum Lake has also been a hub for rock music. The Wutzrock festival attracts thousands of visitors every year. Bands such as Fehlfarben, Deichkind and Die Beginner have performed at Wutzrock. Thanks to the S-Bahn, Allermöhe is very well connected to the public transport network; it takes 16 minutes to reach the main station and five minutes to get to Bergedorf.
